The First Impression Is The Last Impression

The First Impression Is The Last Impression

What do I want someone to remember about me? How can I create the right first impression? How do I want to be perceived? These are some of the questions which come to our mind when we meet someone of importance for the first time. It is very true that we never get a second chance to make a great impression. An opportunity lost is lost forever. A good first impression opens the door for us to make further contact with the person in the near future while a bad first impression might close all the doors of meeting that person again and this could result in a lost opportunity that one totally deserved.

One should not worry about making a fabulous first impression, just a few steps and you will be all set to rock the world with your presence.

  • Dress how you want to be addressed- It takes a quick glance, maybe about three seconds, for someone to evaluate you when you meet them for the first time. In this short time, the other person forms an opinion about you based on your appearance, your body language, your demeanor, your mannerisms, and how you are dressed. Always dress according to the occasion, situation, and location. A bad dressing sense can spoil all the limelight that belonged to you. Your attire speaks about you before you even utter a word.
  • Be conscious of your body language- Notice the position of your shoulders, way of walking, way of shaking hands and if you don’t want to lose even a point to be perfect; notice where you point your feet while walking, standing or sitting. Neither be too stiff nor be too limp.
  • Be interesting and interested- If you really want to pose a good impression, be a keen listener. A good listener never goes unnoticed but be prompt when invited to speak. Greet everyone with a smile and be positive throughout, always close on a good note.
  • Be polite, be confident, be you- Never brag about yourself, maintain a polite tone throughout the conversation even if you are naturally loud. Be confident about what you do and what you speak. If you are calm and confident, there is every chance that the other person will be at ease and this will prepare a solid foundation of your best first impression.

Being courteous and attentive adds up to your personality. Be a good researcher so that you do not lack anywhere while communicating. Be on time; if you are not on time, you might lose everything beforehand that you could have gained after meeting the person.

And of course, finishing touch is really important, bad body odour can defile your impression so use Adiction deodorants to stand out of the crowd. The fragrance is your signature; Who knows who remember what about you at the end!
